Marsha is a 1 year old lab mix who is looking to score a forever family all her own! This gorgeous girl was found as a stray, and the last few weeks living in a home is most likely a first for her. Adapting to being in a house has been a little bit scary for her, but in just a couple of weeks she has gone from hiding in her kennel...to now hanging out and lounging with her foster humans & 4-legged foster siblings. Marsha is learning all about the good life from her foster family; it has been so amazing to see her come into her own and allow herself the luxury of relaxing like every dog should. She is still working through her house-training (she’s been doing very well!), but having probably lived outside her whole life...that is to be expected. She is a smart girl, and has picked up on things very quickly. She walks great on a leash, loves playing with toys (now that she understands what they are), and loves romping around in her foster’s large fenced-in yard. Marsha enjoys the company of other dogs, and loves to play/cuddle with them. Although she has come so far in such a short time, we do feel that a quieter home will be best for this girl, as sudden movements and loud noises do tend to startle her. We recommend that kids be older, and respectful of her space. This sweet girl has so much potential, and has really started to open up in her foster home...she has even started giving her foster mom kisses! 🥰 If you think Marsha sounds like the perfect fit for you, please apply at: https://newleashdogrescue.com/  **Marsha’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, heartworm test, and microchip. **Pink’s $250 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, and microchip. show less

This adorable girl is looking for a new foster home (or better yet...an adoptive family!). Pink was found as a stray in the south. She is around 7-8 months old, and weighs around 35lbs. From what we can tell, she has never truly known the good life of living inside a home as a part of the family until she came here. She is still learning the ropes, and needs someone to show her what it means to live life spoiled and loved. Since she can still be a bit shy with humans, we are requiring a home with a fenced-in yard. She needs this enclosed space until she gains a little more confidence and trust, and would love the freedom to be able to explore. She has also benefited greatly from having another dog in the home to observe and learn from. She has taken to the kids in her current home, so we also think she’d enjoy having kids in her foster/forever home.  She does not seem to like cats—so no cats for this girl in her future.  As you can see from the picture on the right, she is already starting to open up and show us a little more of her sweet personality. She has so much potential and we can’t wait to see her blossom! \  If you are interested in adopting Pink, please apply at https://newleashdogrescue.com.  **Pink’s $250 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, and microchip. show less

It’s a new year, and Saffron is hoping that it’s her time to find a home of her very own! Saffron is a hurricane Harvey dog, and she will need a very special home...but we are confident that we can help this sweet girl find the home of her dreams. Saffron gets anxious in new situations, and will need an incredibly patient person to provide stability, help guide her, and make her feel comfortable. She has been with her amazing foster for around 6 months, so we have learned a lot about her and her specific needs. When given time to observe and settle in, she loves all people. Kids can sometimes be a little too much excitement for her, so we recommend a home with kids ages 10+. She is cat-friendly, and with a proper introduction she is fine with other dogs. Saffron may not necessarily be the most social or cuddly dog, but with time, patience, and understanding we are hopeful that she will continue to come into her own and learn to enjoy the luxuries of living the good life. Her foster mom says once she gets comfortable with you, she is playful, excited, and pretty much happy all of the time. She is potty-trained and kennel-trained, but currently stays at home without being kenneled and does just fine.  Her adopter needs to be local to the La Crosse, WI area as this will be a slow transition to a new home and she will also need to attend some socialization classes with the trainers who have been working with her. If you have any additional questions about Saffron, please feel free to PM us. She so deserves a forever home to provide a life full of comfort and love. 💕 If you are interested in adopting Saffron, please apply on our website (https://newleashdogrescue.com/). Her $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, microchip, and heartworm test. show less
