This beauty is Barkley, and we are hoping that the perfect forever home is out there for this sweet girl. She is a special gal who has a few quirks, but let’s face it...don’t we all?! Barkley is 4 years old, and we are told is a lab/boxer mix, but it’s possible she may have some pit in her as well. She does well with all dogs that are around her size or larger. She hasn’t lived with cats, but she has been a little too interested in the cats she has come into contact with...so we are recommending a cat-free home. Barkley’s ideal home would be a calm household on a quiet street with minimal visitors and a fenced-in yard. She tends to get nervous when meeting new people, and her forever family will need to understand that she’ll need some time and a safe space (her crate) to allow her to warm up and be more comfortable. Once she is bonded with her people she also tends to be a bit protective of them, so may need to be crated if new people visit her home. Barkley’s foster mom says once she is comfortable with people, she is so very sweet, goofy, cuddly, and lovable! She loves bones, playing ball, and her stuffed toys. She is crate-trained, keeps a very clean kennel, and is fully house-trained. She also loves playing and snuggling with her 4-legged foster siblings, so Barkley would love another dog in her forever home to both learn from and bond with. She also loves going for walks, but does need consistency and continued training when on-leash as she does get stressed and vocal when meeting other dogs/people when leashed. Having some yummy treats along on her walks definitely helps! She will need an experienced owner with an abundance of patience and grace. We are also recommending no young children in the home (kids ages 15+ would be best). We know that her perfect home is out there...and we would appreciate you sharing her gorgeous face so that we can all help Barkley find her forever! ❤️ **If you have any questions about Barkley, please feel free to reach out to us! Her adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

Can you say HUNK? We can’t believe this handsome guy hasn’t been scooped up yet, but Ben is available and ready for a forever home of his own! Ben is a 2 year old pittie mix. He is a big boy, weighing in right around 80lbs. This guy is a heartthrob! He is a lover and just a well-behaved boy. Ben’s foster mom says that he loves to nap, is a smart boy, and he learns very quickly (especially when there are yummy treats involved!). He is dog-friendly, and has been awesome with every 4-legged friend he has met. He is currently being fostered with a Pomeranian and he has been very patient, mindful, and playful when the other pup wishes. Ben also loves kitties! He would be a great candidate for a home needing a cat-friendly pupper. He is just a gentle boy who loves everyone and everything, 2-legged and 4-legged. He is not a barker, is potty-trained, and will give a little whine when he needs to be let outside. He sits so well for bath time and nail trims, enjoys getting loves and belly-rubs, and his foster mom says he tends to prefer his comfy dog beds [as of right now] vs. joining his people on the furniture. Ben really enjoys walks, but keep in-mind that he is a big boy and can be strong on-leash…but we are confident with some training and practice he’ll really excel! He can also be quite goofy, and will get the zoomies + wiggle around playing/asking for pets. We are not exaggerating when we say that this boy is a gem! He will make some lucky family incredibly happy, and we can’t wait to see him thrive in a forever all his own…just ask for Ben! 🧡 APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!).  **Ben’s $200 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

Due to no fault of his own, Bruno finds himself in-need of a new foster and/or a forever home. This guy is just an absolute LOVE. He asks for nothing more than a home where he would be able to nap and simply enjoy growing old. He is approximately 7 years old, but still loves going on walks + enjoys playtime whenever he can get it. He is fabulous with people and all he wants is 1) attention, 2) belly rubs, and 3) someone to snuggle the day away with. Don’t let his size fool you…Bruno is a lap dog. Just ask him! He would prefer to have his person/people around all of the time (because then he gets allllll of the attention!), but he is also 100% house-trained and kennel-trained if his people are not around. Unfortunately [due to lack of exposure at a young age], Bruno has no manners and just doesn’t know how to properly act around other dogs/animals. He would need to be your one and only and be the only pet in the home. He is also not a good candidate for the dog park. Although he does love to run around when possible, so a fenced-in yard would be ideal…this way Bruno can still enjoy playtime and adventures on his own turf. He has such a big heart and just wants someone who is willing to love him in return. His smile is so infectious; it’s just hard to focus on anything other than petting/loving him when he’s around! Come meet Bruno…you’ll fall in love! 💙 APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!).  **Bruno’s $200 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

This beautiful babe is still searching for a forever of her own (it’s hard to believe, we know!). Kai is a 2 year old [best guess] heeler/pointer mix, weighing in just around 40 lbs. She is a happy, energetic, and playful girl. Kai tends to be fairly calm inside the house (loves to lounge, loves her squeaky toys, and chewing on bones, etc.) but gets more excitable and energetic once she is outdoors. Similarly, during the day, she is wide awake and full of energy...while after supper she is ready to just settle in and snuggle/keep you warm. She LOVES to run, and is lightning fast! When outdoors, Kai is very focused on her surroundings and/or movement, such as wildlife and people + dogs walking by. Her foster family feels that she would do best in a home that has experience with a high energy pup like Kai. She is such a smart cookie; she knows how to sit, shake, stay, and does a good job of minding her manners. She is crate-trained and fully potty-trained. Kai has also spent some time with our amazing trainers at Fun Fur Pets, and below outlines further the ideal home environment to ensure that Kai (in all her energy!) is successful: 1️⃣ Kai needs a fenced-in yard (6ft+).  2️⃣ Kai loves other dogs and loves to play with them, so any other dogs in the home should also love to play. She plays pretty rough, so will need dogs her size (40 lbs) or larger. She would also do just fine as an only dog!  3️⃣ Kai needs a home with no kids (ages 16+ would be ok), as she has herding tendencies and will likely try to herd/chase them. 4️⃣ Kai needs a home without cats, chickens, or other small animals. All in all, Kai is truly such a fun-loving, energetic, goofy girl, who has such a zest for life! More than anything, she just needs that perfect family who understands her and her needs. If you think that’s you, please reach out to us (or complete an adoption application at https://newleashdogrescue.com) to learn more about adopting this beautiful girl! 💕 **Kai’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

This gorgeous girl is Kate (yep, she’s the mama to all of the precious pups…Brooklyn, Foster, Porter, etc!), and she is now as ready as can be for a forever family to call her own! Kate is a beautiful 6 year old mixed breed (your guess really is as good as ours!) who weighs in right under 60lbs, and is the sweetest most playful girl. This girl LOVES to play! She gets along very well with other dogs and loves to romp and run with them, so having another playful pup in the home would definitely be a bonus for Kate. She is also kitty-friendly with the proper introduction. She is potty-trained (with just a little bit of transition time to be expected, of course), crate-trained, and does very well when meeting new people. She really enjoys walks and does wonderfully on-leash. Kate does like to people-watch through the window and will alert her foster family if someone/something is walking by, so she probably would not be an ideal fit for apartment living. Her most favorite things currently are her soft plushie toys! She is a smart, loving, happy-go-lucky gal…and now that she is all done raising up her babies, she just can’t wait to finally find a forever she can call her own. Just ask for Kate! 💕 APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!).  **Kate’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

This precious peanut is Princess, and she would love nothing more than to land herself a family she can call hers forever. Princess is an 8 year old chi mix who weighs right around 15lbs. She is just the happiest little girl who absolutely loves everyone and everything! She is super cuddly, listens well, does great in her kennel, and is fully potty-trained. Some of her favorite things include belly rubs, chew toys, car rides, and relaxing outside on nice sunny days. She really isn’t the biggest fan of the cold/winter, so when that time rolls around she would really love some sweaters and blankies to keep her nice and cozy warm. Princess does suffer from occasional seizures, which we know can be incredibly scary, but she is on a daily prescription medication to help her in managing those. And have no fear, she takes her meds like a champ…if you put it inside a little piece of hotdog or cheese, she gobbles it right up! She does great with other dogs and we also think she’d do well with respectful children who are around ages 10+. She is hoping that someone who doesn’t mind giving her just that extra bit of care will fall for her adorable face, and will scoop her up and take her home forever! Just ask for Princess. 💕 APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!).  **Princess’ $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

Due to a change in circumstance, Theo finds himself in-need of a new foster and/or forever home. He is a 3.5 year old pittie mix who weighs in right around 50lbs. Theo’s ideal home would be one that’s calm and quieter. He is currently living in a busier house with several other dogs + children and this is just too stressful for him. We are recommending that Theo be the only pet in the home, as when other dogs are around he tends to get anxious, protective of his people, and can be reactive (toward the other dogs). Theo LOVES his humans, and more than anything he just wants to soak up all of the love and attention himself! Some of his favorite activities include car rides, walks, bones, playing with toys, and cuddling. He would be phenomenal with a single person and/or couple who is looking for a new BFF, walking buddy, and partner in crime. He does need his person to also advocate for him, as he can be nervous when new people come into his home…so he just needs some time and space to be able to warm up, and this is why a home with minimal visitors would be ideal. We know that there’s a home out there for every single pup, and that’s no exception for our boy Theo! He may be more introverted, but he is overflowing with love to give…he just needs the right person comes into his life. If you have any additional questions about Theo (and think he may be the right fit for you), please don’t hesitate to reach out to us! 💚 APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!).  **Theo’s $200 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

This handsome fella is Titus, and it hurts our hearts to say that he has been patiently waiting far, FAR too long to find a forever family of his own. Titus has a few quirks (let’s be honest, don’t we all?) but truly is SUCH a good boy, and sadly has been overlooked for months. Titus is a 2 year old pittie mix…and he is just as loving as he is handsome! He would love nothing more than to find his perfect home where he can hang out with his person during the day while they work, followed by nice evening walks around the neighborhood. Titus came to us pretty under-socialized, but he has spent the last several months working so hard on his confidence and has come so incredibly far in such a short amount of time. He does get pretty excitable when meeting new dogs, but if the other dog is quiet and respectful of Titus’ space then he tends to do ok. We feel that with the right 4-legged companion (based on energy + confidence level) he would be able to coexist with another dog just fine. However he would probably love even more to be your one and only! Titus LOVES his people, and really relies on his humans to show him the ropes, help him learn, and show him how to maneuver through life’s new experiences. He is fully potty-trained, kennel-trained, and does wonderfully (and is very polite!) when walking on-leash. We think Titus would do ok with kids who are a bit older (13+), but are recommending a home without young children. He also needs a home without kitties or other small animals. We would love nothing more than to start Titus’ summer out on the right paw by finding him a foster and/or forever home he can settle into. If you are interested in learning more, just ask us about Titus! 🧡 APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!).  **Titus’ $200 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

Handsome boy Walker is more than ready for a forever home of his very own! He is a 3 year old, 50lb shorthair mix, and it goes without saying that he is a looker. He is the most loving and friendly guy! His foster family says he is just an overall wonderful boy. He loves everyone and he LOVES other dogs! Walker enjoys running and playing with his 4-legged foster siblings…and he would absolutely love another playful pupper in his forever home to keep him company (although this is definitely not required!). He can be a little bit persistent with other dogs in regards to playing, so if the other dog in the home isn’t playful it may take him a bit longer to adjust to that dynamic. Walker is crate-trained and he kennels very well. He is also potty-trained after he has established a consistent routine (adjustment time to be expected, of course). Walker’s favorite things include sitting on his human’s lap, snuggling, and — of course — playing. He is still working on being totally comfortable on-leash, but he is making progress as he has more and more practice. He would love nothing more than to settle in with a family he’s able to call his own, so if you think that’s you…please reach out and ask for Walker! 🖤 APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!). **Walker’s $200 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip.  show less

Where are our hound lovers?! This pretty lady is Wendy and she is hoping that her luck soon changes and she’s able to land herself a foster/forever home. Wendy is approximately 3 years old, weighs 50lbs, and [best guess] is a foxhound. Wendy is a very smart girl. She knows her basic commands, but she can also open doors and maneuver gate latches…so will need a family who can keep up with her smarts! She is very people-focused (she especially loves men!), loves to please her humans, and is super affectionate. Wendy did become quite stressed in her last placement, so we are working on finding a home that is a better fit for her needs. She also may need a bit of decompression time as she re-learns how to live within a home environment. Wendy has lived with larger dogs and cats, but in her last home did not coexist well with the cats. Therefore she would either need careful management in a home with kitties, or a home with no cats. She also needs a home without small dogs, as she is a resource guarder and can tend to get protective and will chase the other dog (not aggressively) away from her “things.” However once she understands that the other dog is not a threat, this guarding could potentially improve. Because of this, we would also recommend a home with older, more respectful children (13+). Wendy truly is such a calm and loving girl; she is crate-trained, potty-trained, and does very well on-leash. She just needs a good, solid shot at finding a forever that works for her. If you think that’s you, please reach out to us! 💕 ‼️Wendy is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program.‼️ APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!).  Wendy is located in La Crosse, WI. **Wendy’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less
